As the temperatures cool here in the Southern Hemisphere, the colours outside start to change.
The bright crisp greens slowly start to fade and the earthy tones take over.
If you are planning a wedding in the next few months or indeed for next year in Autumn, don’t overlook how rich the colour palate can be with golds, cigar, bronze, copper, mustard, mahogany….it can be so luscious.
When you are planning out your theme, there are a number of ways where you can add a touch of your colour palette to keep the entire event cohesive.
Here is a list you may think of….and a few suggestions for places you may not!
Start your day with a golden candle - choose your scent to be calming but make the candle holder gold
What’s on the breakfast menu - golden croissants and orange juice? Or cherries, oranges, mandarins….and rockmelon?
For your photos when you walk out the door - do you kick your heels through a layer of golden autumn leaves, or do you make sure that you have a location on your photography shot list? The backdrop of the changing colours is so beautiful
With your flowers and those of your bridal party, don’t be afraid to add deep warm reds, mahogany and burnt caramel
Your table settings will allow you to use colour napkins or cloths - chair covers
Infuse the colours in your centerpieces including wood, bark, dried berries with floral - the multidimensional look will be inspired
Little forget me not floral treats in smoke coloured mini vases in the bathrooms, at the bar, at the present table can ensure that everything is tied together
Your stationery can include a touch of bronze - and why not send out pressed leaves or flowers inside your thank you cards?
Just a few tips from your Hidden Bridesmaid - where would you add a touch of your favourite autumn tone?
