I’m engaged….now what?
You can imagine the whole day in your head, but you have no idea where to start, right?
At Hidden Bridesmaid - we hear you.
Like any project you plan, you need to know where you are starting and where you want to finish. These are the two most important things you need to work out first. If you know where you are and where you want to end up, you can build your very own road map to get there….and its that road map that becomes your checklist.
Step one, where I am…..where I want to end up…..done.
Step two - you need to literally write down every task you need to complete to get to your destination.
We are big fans of checklists - for everything. If it's on the list it gets done. Whilst you are writing your checklist, we recommend doing it in excel or word, so you can start to group items to have it make sense along with ensure that you can be efficient.
How good does it feel to tick things off…..done!
Some time ago to save time, money and the memory we created a TEN STEP system for all of our events and we use it religiously at Hidden Bridesmaid. We use our TEN STEP system to group all of the tasks.
Some of my favourite subfolders of the folders are the budget, the run sheet, the venue and suppliers - they all live in a sub folder but my favourite is the master event folder (that's where all the preplanning docs go)....and eventually you will have a post event folder - where all the thank yous, final documents and photos live.
